JCS Asia has personnel in 13 countries in Asia including Japan. In June 2004, JCS Asia dispatched personnel from Japan to Shanghai, China, and the number of Japanese-speaking personnel has been increased to four. JCS also has dispatched Japanese advisors to Bangkok, Thailand in January 2006 and Japanese resident personnel to Jakarta, Indonesia in May 2007, and hired local Japanese personnel in Taiwan in July 2007. JCS Asia has expanded its network in Asia for the provision of services by Japanese-speaking personnel to four bases: China, Thailand, Indonesia, and Taiwan. In addition, JCS Asia has appointed personnel in Japan to reinforce JCS services in Thailand, Taiwan, and Hong Kong in order to build stronger local ties. JCS Asia will continue to enhance its services throughout Asia.

CHINA
Marsh China (Marsh (Beijing) Insurance Brokers Co. Ltd.) is based in Beijing and has branches in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu. Our predecessor to Marsh China, which was the first foreign company to obtain an operating license in China, began operating in 1993 and since then has expanded its scope of operations. Marsh China became the first wholly-owned subsidiary of a foreign company to obtain a license in China as an insurance broker, and the name was changed to its current name with the goal of enhancing services even further. Marsh China has approximately 150 personnel (including four Japanese-speaking personnel) to handle a wide variety of language environments to match the unique business environment in Japan. Marsh China’s business activities focus on development and operation of insurance programs throughout China, risk management consulting, and international re-insurance arrangements.

INDONESIA
Marsh Indonesia (P.T. Marsh Indonesia) was established in 1984. For over 20 years, Marsh Indonesia has provided services to an extensive range of industries and public projects as one of Indonesia’s leading insurance brokers. Approximately 100 risk specialists offer solutions tailored to the individual characteristics of each customer and support the development of insurance arrangements and risk management suited to specific needs. Marsh Indonesia provides various services to Japanese and multinational corporations in Indonesia for local businesses and their risk situations. They also provide claim handling for private companies, public agencies, and state-operated corporations.

THAILAND
Marsh Thailand (Marsh PB Co., Limited) was established in 1978 as a joint venture between Marsh Inc. and local capital investors provides a wide variety of insurance-related services to local companies, public agencies, and multinational corporations in Thailand. Approximately 80 risk specialists who are thoroughly familiar with local insurance conditions provide high-quality services to customer businesses not only in Thailand but also in Laos, and Cambodia.

TAIWAN
The Marsh Ltd. Taiwan Branch was established in 1975 with 100% financing from Marsh Inc. Marsh Taiwan is staffed by more than 90 risk specialists who use Marsh’s strengths in global insurance markets to provide services to local businesses and multinational corporations in Taiwan. Approximately 80% of Marsh Taiwan’s customers are technology firms in the semiconductor and other industries, and it excels at developing and operating insurance and disaster response programs. Marsh Taiwan also provides consultant based services for projects such as high-rise buildings, mass rapid transit systems, and electric power projects.

HONG KONG
Since it was established in 1976, Marsh (Hong Kong) Limited has been a leader in the risk management and insurance consulting industry in Hong Kong. Marsh Hong Kong currently has more than 80 risk specialists with extensive experience in commercial insurance placements. Marsh Hong Kong provides a range of specialized services including property and liability consulting, risk engineering, and claim management to major local businesses and global multinational corporations in all industries. Risk management services are also provided to businesses in Macau and China.
